    Theatre of Voices: Festival in Denmark

    Theatre of Voices is presenting its own festival in Holbaek on 30 July, Horbygaard Gods, Havestuen and Horby on 31 July and in Lovenborg on 1 August.
    The seven concerts will feature Italian Baroque & English Songs, music by Arvo Pärt to the film 'Songs from the Soil', C.E.F. Weyse & English Partsongs by Jonathan Battishill and John Wall Callcott, New American Music & Arvo Pärt as well as H.C. Andersen in music & English Partsongs & Romantic Songs.

    Theatre of Voices is nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize as ensemble from Denmark. The winner is to be announced on 2 November.

    Christian Benning Percussion Group in Bayreuth

    The Christian Benning Percussion Group performs two concerts at Festival Junger Künstler Bayreuth in Bayreuth on 16 August and in Kloster Speinshart on 17 August featuring music by Beethoven, Ravel, Zivkovic, de Mey, Cage, Marino, Engel and Corea.

Tõnu Kaljuste: Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir

Tõnu Kaljuste has been appointed as Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir as of 1 August. His first project of the tenure are concerts on 7 and 8 August in Tallinn and Viljandi with music by Veljo Tormis on the occasion of his 91st birthday.

Vox Clamantis: OPUS KLASSIK nomination

Vox Clamantis is nominated for OPUS KLASSIK with the album Cyrillus Kreek: The Suspended Harp of Babel for ECM Records in the category choir music. On 10 October the award celebration will take place at Berlin Konzerthaus.

Les Vents Francais: nomination for OPUS KLASSIK

Les Vents Francais are nominated for OPUS KLASSIK in category Chamber Music 19th century for their album Romantique with music by George Onslow, Louis Spohr and August Klughardt. The award presentation will take place at Konzerthaus Berlin on 10 October.

Florian Helgath: 2 nominations for OPUS KLASSIK

For the two albums Mozart: Requiem with Chorwerk Ruhr, Concerto Köln and soloists for Coviello Records as well as Praetorius & Italy with RIAS Kammerchor and Capella de la Torre for deutsche harmonia mundi  Florian Helgath has been nominated for OPUS KLASSIK in the category choir music. The award presentation will take place at Konzerthaus Berlin on 10 October.

Paul Hillier at the Diaghilev Festival

Paul Hillier was invited by the Diaghilev Festival Perm (Artistic Director: Teodor Currentzis) to conduct the Chamber Choir Ireland and the choir of Perm Opera, MusicAeterna. On 28 June he led an a cappella

programme with excerpts of Arvo Pärt's Kanon Pokajanen, motets by J.S. Bach, Brahms and Bruckner as well as contemporary Irish pieces.

Trio Chausson gives its debut with Beethoven Triple Concerto

The French Piano Trio played from June 24 to 27, 2014 in four concerts the triple solo part of Beethoven's Concerto with the Schleswig-Holstein Symphony Orchestra.

The Flensburger Tagblatt wrote about the concert: "In ... the piece the three young musicians were focusing hearable on the delicate magic sound and a witty team play, in which they were feeding each other lines"

Antony Hermus gave a highly acclaimed debut at the Aalto Theatre Essen with Madame Butterfly in June. The Music Director of the Anhaltisches Theater captured lately also the attention with his direction of the new productions of Lady Macbeth of Mzensk and Tosca in Dessau.

Ole Edvard Antonsen on summer tour

The famous trumpet star had been on tour in June 2014 at festivals and Open air concerts in Trondheim, Harstad, Hardanger and Lofoten island performing his programme "Musical Landscapes" with his jazz band.
