Under the inspired direction of Tõnu Kaljuste, long a staunch ally and committed advocate for the composer's work the recording In Principio is superbly performed.
(Gramophone)

The Estonian conductor Kaljuste proved his keen sense for the tone of Pärt's and Tüür's works. With precise gestures he developed together with the Ensemble Resonanz and the RIAS Kammerchor a bright and clear sound with plenty of dynamic colours.

With Tõnu Kaljuste the Camerata Salzburg had a conductor on the podium, who fits at their best, because he expands sounds very precisely. Blazing tones he brought out from the strings in the first movement of Haydn's symphony No. 59, kindling he made the fourth movement.  In Mozart's Serenade No.3 D major Kaljuste led the orchestra to world's class accomplishment.

(Ruhr Nachrichten 02/2007)

What an incredible performance of Haydn's Sinfonia No. 90, with an especially beautiful Andante movement. Tõnu Kaljuste showed gratefulness towards the young musicians of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra who demonstrated under his baton their high musicality and musical passion.
