On 16 March the Arcis Saxophone Quartet performs the programme "American Dreams" with music by Reich, Dvorak, Gershwin, Barber and Bernstein in Munich, Allerheiligen-Hofkirche at Residenz.
Grete Pedersen conducts the Norwegian Soloists' Choir within the project "150 Psalms" in two concerts in Brussels on 20 and 21 March with two programmes featuring music by Telemann, Elgar, Gabrieli, Totari, Rachmaninow, Charpentier, Valen, Pärt, Maxwell Davies, Brahms, Lidholm, Rehnquist among others.
Tonu Kaljuste conducts the NDR Choir in three concerts from 9-11 March in Oldenburg, Itzehoe and Hamburg. They perform A cappella music by Krzysztof Penderecki, Arvo Pärt, Sergei Tanejew, Raymond Murray Schafer and Veljo Tormis.
Florian Helgath conducts the Bavarian Radio Choir in Munich Prinzregententheater on 24 February with music by Domenico Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, Ildebrando Pizzetti and Frank Martin accompanied by an organ, a lute and a violone.
Risto Joost directs the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Netherlands Chamber Choir and soloists in Alkmaar on 1 March, Concertgebouw Amsterdam on 2 and 3 March, and
Haarlem on 4 March. The programme features the first performance of Guillaume Connesson's Liturgies de Lumière for chamber orchestra and choir, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis and the Fauré Requiem.Read more
